Castel of Valenzano

During the 14th century, under the rule of the Tarlati, the fortress expanded with the majestic construction of a second tower, a tangible sign of its evolution. In the 15th century, Count Ghino Rondinelli inherited the fief, beginning a long era of belonging to his illustrious family that would last over four hundred years.
In the 19th century, the castle underwent a momentous transformation thanks to Giovanangelo Bastoni and his wife Clementina Rondinelli. Renovation work, which began between 1885 and 1890, gave the castle the grandeur and neo-Gothic style that we admire today, with marble decorations, merlons and mullioned windows with two lights that give the residence a fairytale aura.
Located just 30 minutes from the A1 Arezzo exit and an hour from Florence, Siena, Cortona, Perugia and the Chianti region, Castello di Valenzano is a historical and architectural treasure.
