Villa cattani STORIA
VILLA CATTANI STUART is one of the most famous historic residences in the province of Pesaro Urbino and of the Marche region, now a late 17th century period villa hotel with park and swimming pool overlooking the Pesaro Adriatic Riviera just 2 km from the sea.
The Villa and its fantastic three Italian-style gardens date back to between 1630 and 1680, and was desired, designed and completed by the Cattani family.
Surrounded by 10 hectares of land, on the fertile green hills of Trebbiantico, which also include an olive grove of over 200 trees and its own oil mill.
Inside, the villa features beautiful frescoes by the Italian painter Niccolò Berrettoni.
So important was it that it was at the centre of the political, social and economic life of the province, as well as a venue for diplomatic meetings in the first half of the 18th century.
